A little bit of farm talkThe ice cream parlour (ice pod) is based on Gothards Farm in Stoke St Gregory at the heart of the Somerset Levels. We collect the milk for our ices fresh from the milking parlour each day so the ice cream comes literally from 'pasture to pot' in one day!
Much is made about the quality and nature of ingredients used in ice cream but Granny Gothards has been, is and always will be made from the finest dairy ingredients.
Granny Gothards is moving forward with planned expansions to the Ice Pod to enable us to increase our production capacity.
We made the decision at the very start of the business that we would always produce our handmade ice creams in the same traditional way as we have always done and not to compromise on quality by changing to alternative methods. We are continuing to do this as we grow to meet the exacting demands of our ever increasing base of customers.

And so the expansion begins with the arrival of a new machine in a few weeks (a third to follow shortly), the development of the Ice Pod and the recruitment of more staff.
